What’s the difference between proofreading and copy-editing?
Copy-editing includes checking written material for grammar, spelling, style, and punctuation issues before it’s prepared for proofreading. A copy editor may also do a rewrite, if necessary, to fix any problems with transitions, wordiness, jargon, and to ensure the style of the piece fits with the publication. This work is known as revision.
When the material is nearly a finished product, meaning it has been edited, the proofreader searches for typographical errors. The proofreader works with a finished product, or a proof (hence the term proofreading). Proofreaders look for minor text and formatting errors and confirm the material is ready for publication.
What do you look at when you edit?
This is the process in which the Copy Editor dots the i’s and crosses the t’s of your document. Copy editing is a process that ensures that text is correct in terms of spelling, grammar, jargon, punctuation, terminology, semantics and formatting. Copy editing also ensures that the idea the writer wishes to portray is clear and easy to understand.
How will I know what you have changed on my document?
When we go through your document, we stikethrough an error. All text that we have modified is underlined. Additions made by our editors as well as erased words are red in colour. Finally, comments are displayed in comments that are linked to the text. Ultimately, we clean-up the document and share with you the one with highlighted errors and suggested changes as well as the final, cleaned document. Your clean version of your document contains exactly the same edited content as the tracked version but does not contain any editing marks.

How do I cancel my order?
Our editors start working on the project immediately after receiving it, so if you want to cancel it, please do so within 30 minutes of submitting the project so that our editors can stop working on it and we refund you in full using the same payment method and into the same Account that you would have used to pay us.
What do I do if I upload a wrong document?
Don’t worry, just send us an email immediately or send us a WhatsApp through our WhatsApp option on our Site within 30 minutes of sending the file, otherwise or editors will start working on the wrong document.
If you can’t cancel within 30 minutes but within 24 Hours of your upload, you can either cancel your order for a 50% refund or place a correct document with a 50% discount, in which case, there will be no refund required.
