Dr John Mambambo was the first in Africa to translate “Decolonising the Mind” by Professor Ngugi wa’Thiong’o (may his soul rest in eternal peace) into an African language, ChiShona. Professor Ngugi dubbed this celebrated achievement as the “Homecoming” of African intellectual production. This Project saw Dr Mambambo being awarded a prestigious PostDoctoral Fellowship by the Rhodes University to lead the further expansion of his work into Five more African languages, isiXhosa, Sesotho, isiZulu (South Africa), Ndebele (Zimbabwe) and Kiswahili (East Africa – Tanzania, Kenya).

The Centre for Advanced Studies of African Society (CASAS) entrusted us with the mammoth task of translating an entire book and we managed to complete the job in record time. To add on to that, the translated work was reviewed by a Language Professor who gave it the green light that led to the publication of the book.

YUEXIANGYIRAN (BEIJING) INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION Company selected The Editing Centre from among many international language service providers and entrusted us with the colossal task of translating large dictionaries from Chinese into Shona and Ndebele languages, and we delivered some masterpieces as all three dictionaries were eventually published.
